Here’s a breakdown of why I chose each component and how it contributes to my setup: Gaming. I enjoy a variety of games, from AAA titles to indie gems. Some of my current favorites include "The Witcher 3," "Cyberpunk 2077," "Overwatch," "Fortnite," and "Minecraft." These games demand a solid GPU and CPU to run smoothly, and my setup handles them quite well. 3D Printing. I use software like Blender, Fusion 360, and Tinkercad for designing my 3D prints. The i7-6700 CPU provides the necessary processing power to handle complex 3D modeling tasks without lag. Programs like Cura and PrusaSlicer are essential for converting 3D models into printable files. My GTX 1060 GPU accelerates the slicing process, making it faster and more efficient. Here are the parts and why I got them in this build: CPU: i7-6700 at 3.4GHz- Chosen for its strong performance in both single-threaded and multi-threaded tasks, which is essential for both gaming and 3D modeling. GPU: GTX 1060-6Gb- Provides excellent performance for gaming at 1080p with high settings and is also capable of accelerating rendering tasks in 3D software. 16GB Ram- Sufficient for multitasking, running multiple applications, and handling large 3D models without any slowdown. Storage: 256Gb SSD + 1 Tb HDD - The SSD ensures fast boot times and quick access to frequently used applications, while the HDD offers ample storage for games, large 3D model files, and other media. I boot with Windows 11 for its latest features, compatibility with a wide range of software, and enhanced security measures. By sharing the details of my build and its purposes, I hope to provide insight and inspire others in the community who might have similar interests. Whether you're a fellow gamer or a 3D printing enthusiast, let's engage and discuss the best ways to get the most out of our rigs!$974.96 -

I mainly use this $600 budget pc build for gaming. i play Minecraft, Rocket League, Roblox and Fortnite. Everything runs really smooth and it has been very enjoyable to use this PC. One upgrade that I'm planning on doing is swapping the wraith stealth stock cooler that came with my Ryzen 5 5600 to an after market tower cooler for better temps and noise levels. On the flipside, one thing I would do is use a different cooler from the get go instead of having to upgrade. I would also like to add more storage, right now I only have 512gb of storage total.$557.94 -

This was a build that I made for my friend who is a long-time Mac user and wanted to switch to Windows for gaming. My only constraint for the build was a hard budget of $800 USD, otherwise it was up to me to source the parts and put it together. I decided to go with the Micro Center AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D bundle as it came with both a Asus TUF GAMING B550-PLUS motherboard and G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB memory. This alone saved me around $180-200 in budget. I then decided to go with a Cooler Master 212 as it is a popular go-to cooler for budget builds. Through a Micro Center coupon, I was also able to snag an Inland Prime 1TB M.2 SSD for only $27. The power supply and case are nothing special, just budget options from what was available. I was lucky with my GPU find on eBay, I was able to get an EVGA XC3 ULTRA 3070 8GB for only $308 after shipping. There was one faulty fan, but I was able to find a replacement on AliExpress for only $10. Replacing the fan was very easy, though it required removing the front cover of the GPU off. Overall, this was a good learning experience as I had to find the cheapest possible alternatives to parts, and overall I think I did a pretty good job. The computer is able to play games such as ARK and CSGO 2 comfortably at 1080p 120hz on medium to high settings.$785.25 -

We researched parts for 2 months and built everything over Memorial day weekend. We took advantage of Microcenter's great prices (and price matching) for half of the items. The goal is that this will be a computer that will last him through high school. He's interested in gaming and programming. We made sure that there are options for him to expand in the future (dedicated GPU, more memory, etc). It was a great experience to learn how all the parts of a computer come together!$817.79 -

Currently using my old 2080ti until 40series prices drop or 50series launches. Utilizing a 850watt 3.0atx Seasonic PSU that should be more than enough to upgrade to a 4080 or 5080 respectively with more headroom for OC later. All parts installed to a MSI z790 P Pro Wifi which has proven to be a sturdy backbone so far. I work primarily in Adobe programs, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects for film editing and special effects. While it hasn't been built for aesthetics it works very well. Both programs have a very low draw on the GPU so I actually still have my old NVIDIA GTX 980! Everything else has been upgraded over time though, with as much RAM as I can afford as both programs eat up as much of it as you let them. Most of my film work is done for a local theater for their productions, marketing and live special effects. In the future I definitely want to focus on aesthetics since that's the biggest lacking thing on this build. I don't love the case too much so I think that will be the first to go. It's not amazing at airflow but has served its purpose very well otherwise! I have a 360mm radiator ready to go in that won't fit in the top, so a new case will help a lot. Otherwise this has gotten me through some pretty demanding projects and has been wonderful!$2,140.90 -

Started playing a lot of PUBG on it and more recently a lot of slippi and Asseto Corsa Competitzione. It originally had a Ryzen 3600 that I upgraded to a 5900x right before they released the 3d variants.... Went from a 2070 Super to a 3080 when a rich friend upgraded to a 4090! To fit the 3080 with the AIO I had to switch the middle fan to a slim.$1,609.95 -
